Produced by the U.S. War Department as part of the Army-Navy Screen Magazine. This film begins with the Trinity Test (the first atomic bomb detonation, in Nevada, New Mexico in July 1945) followed by footage of the aftermath of the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima ("Little Boy," 8/6/45) and Nagasaki ("Fat Man," 8/9/45), the two cities referred to by the title.
