Footage of Douglas "Wrong-Way" Corrigan, after 1938 transatlantic flight in a Curtiss Robin from New York, landing in Ireland instead of California (he claimed his "compass must have been wrong"). Acquired on a reel labeled "stock footage" (edge code 1964) that included [Commemorative parade in Japan c. 1900s], “I Don't Want to Change the Subject" (Victory Bond Song), and stock footage of Joseph P. Kennedy, Wendell Willkie, and the U.S. 40th Inaugural Ceremonies, all c. 1938-1940s except for the Japan footage.
